SPRING VALLEY, NY – Finkelstein Memorial Library is hosting a reading skills program for children in 1st and 2nd grades, providing them with an opportunity to enhance their reading abilities. The program will take place every Monday and Wednesday until December 20, 2023, with two time slots available at 4:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M. (Please note that there will be no sessions during Thanksgiving week.)
The program is designed to help young readers improve their skills through interaction with teen volunteers. Students only need to register once and can attend each week.

Sloatsburg, NY-The Town of Ramapo Police Department responded swiftly to an emergency call on Thursday, September 28, 2023, when a vehicle crashed into a storefront located at 67 Orange Turnpike in The Village of Sloatsburg.
Upon arrival, authorities found the scene under control, with no immediate injuries reported. The vehicle had collided with the building, prompting concerns about structural damage. To assess the extent of the damage, The Sloatsburg Fire Department and The Village of Sloatsburg building inspectors were called to the scene.
