This week, George Erskine a Vietnam War era veteran who died without any immediate family was laid to rest. Great job by the Rockland County Veterans Service agency and Jennifer Smith, the Veterans Burial Coordinator for the County and County Executive Ed Day as they asked for volunteers to attend the brief graveside burial at the Frederick W. Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Supervisor Hoehmann, Councilman Michael Graziano, Police Chief Wanamaker, Highway Superintendent Bob Milone and several other officials proudly attended to honor the life and service of George Erskine who served in the Army in Europe from 1965-1967. May he Rest in Peace.
