The 16th Annual Penguin Plunge is scheduled for Sunday, March 5, 2023. The Penguin Plunge Committee, led by Barbara Noyes and Linda Reiner, holds various fundraising events leading up to the big day – all with a goal to raise funds for children fighting childhood illness. This past Sunday, Orangetown Supervisor Kenny teamed up with fellow attorney Mike Negri, to guest bartend for the cause. They were joined by bartenders Kathleen “Kate” Kennedy, Geena Glasel, Patrick McGovern and Matthew Maroney. Fun was had by all and, more importantly, funds were raised for adorable and brave 2023 Penguin Plunge children.

The Rockland Gaelic Athletic Association celebrated its 50th Anniversary in style this past Saturday at the Crowne Plaza in Suffern, N.Y. They paid tribute to all of the past and present Chairmen who worked so hard to bring the club to the level of play it is at today and thanked County Executive Ed Day for his generous donation. With great music by the Cousins Moran band, everyone enjoyed themselves, including Orangetown Supervisor Kenny and Councilman Brian Donohue.

For the first time since November 2019, the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 3, was able to host their annual Senior Citizen Luncheon. The hall was packed – with seniors from all over Orangetown and beyond. They were entertained by various singers and musicians of all ages, step dancers, and bagpipers from the Rockland County AOH.
