Earlier this week, Governor Kathy Hochul announced the opening of the initial intake tool to help small businesses determine their eligibility for the new COVID-19 Capital Costs Tax Credit Program.
This $250 million program will provide up to $25,000 in tax credits to small businesses that made investments to comply with emergency orders and regulations, or to increase public safety in response to COVID-19.
The program is open to all small independently owned and operated businesses operating in New York State with 100 employees or less and gross receipts of less than $2.5 million. In addition, a small business must have incurred at least $2,000 of qualifying expenses between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2022. CLICK HERE to access Governor Hocul’s press release.
Rockland County encourages all eligible small businesses to take advantage of this important opportunity today!

“The same Joe Percoco that accepted dirty money to get his wife a cushy job, took back-room bribes to secure deals for his developer buddies, bullied and harassed his way through Albany for decades, led scorched-earth campaigns against Cuomo opponents, and weaseled his way out of lockup two years early is now looking to the U.S. Supreme Court for help.
“The Hudson Valley hasn’t forgotten about the corrupt pressure Percoco put on the state’s Department of Environmental Conservation to improperly advance the CPV power plant’s application – a facility that continues to operate to this day without appropriate permits and without a full reexamination of the discredited approval process.
“I am once again renewing my call for the Governor to cease the plant’s operations immediately and conduct a full review of every single permit the plant has received from the state. We already know the limb is rotten – it’s time to cut it off.”
