This week the Town coordinated a DWI accident scene demonstration at the Nanuet Outdoor Education Center for Nanuet High School seniors. The demonstration was planned to raise awareness of drinking and driving as well as distracted driving. The time between Memorial Day and Labor Day is known as the 100 deadliest days, with increased accidents involving young people. The demonstration provides students with a thorough dramatization of an accident scene.
We would like to thank the following organizations for participating in this important event: Nanuet High School, Clarkstown Police Department, Nanuet Fire Department, Nanuet Ambulance Corps, District Attorney Tom Walsh and his office, Higgins Funeral Home, Anastasia Karassik, President/Founder Larisa Karassik Foundation.
