Notice of Public Hearing: Local Law # 8 of 2021
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Upper Nyack will hold a public hearing on September 23, 2021, at 7:30 PM, or as soon as practical thereafter, to consider the adoption of proposed Local Law # 8 of 2021, the Extension of Temporary Moratorium on commercial or residential land use applications for property located in the office business (OB) district, laboratory office (LO) district and the R-4 residential district that abuts the 9W corridor.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Village Board of Trustees will not be meeting in person. In accordance with Chapter 417 of the Laws of 2021 signed by the New York State Governor Kathy Hochul suspending certain provisions of the New York State Open Meetings Law, the meeting will be held via videoconferencing, and a transcript will be provided at a later date. The public will have the opportunity to see and hear the meeting live and provide comments.

Road Paving in Nyack
Milling and paving work is scheduled to begin on September 9, 2021.
Work was delayed by contractor problems and hurricanes!
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. We are aware work begins on the first day of school and are working closely with the Nyack School District to mitigate any problems. Click here for an overview of our paving plans for the coming year.
Poultry and Livestock require a special permit in Upper Nyack
Since 1973, the Village of Upper Nyack has regulated the keeping of “poultry, pigeons, horses, livestock, wild animals, or farm animals, commercially or otherwise.” If you are interested in animal husbandry on your property, visit Village Hall and apply for a special permit before you bring the animals home. Permitting is not immediate or guaranteed and the process can take several months.
