Due to the decline in COVID-19 cases, many of the senior clubs in the Town of Orangetown are now excited to resume their monthly meetings.
Membership is open to persons 60 years or older that live in the Town of Orangetown.
Orangetown is home to seven senior clubs – Blauvelt/Orangeburg, Nyack, Pearl River “A”, Pearl River “B”, Piermont, Sparkill and Tappan.
Orangetown Supervisor Teresa M. Kenny said, “I have been fortunate enough to visit with a few of the clubs, and I must say, their trips sound fantastic. If you are interested in joining one of the clubs, please check out our Senior Community page.”

This week, the Town joined forces with the Palisades Free Library to offer a drop-off location for all those hard to recycle gadgets, like used toothbrushes, floss containers, cosmetics, razors and more.
This is being done in conjunction with TerraCycle and is just one more way to help rid our waste stream of these nasty plastics.
So view the enclosed flyer, gather those pesky items up and drop them off at either Town Hall or the Palisades Free Library from now until April 22nd.

News Channel 12 Reporter Diane Caruso was so impressed with Town of Orangetown Black History Month Honoree, Dr. Arlene Clinkscale, that she did an in-depth interview of her in my office.
Orangetown Supervisor Teresa M Kenny said, “Lights, camera, action! And just when I thought I could not be more impressed with this woman of quiet strength, I am more in awe of her than ever.
At 93 years of age, she talked openly about her youth, her parents, the civil rights movement, being hired as a teacher in Pearl River as a black woman in 1960, and her 40-year career in education.
Dr. Clinkscale is a skilled communicator who thinks we all need to do more talking to each other. Keep an eye out for the report on Channel 12 so you can hear it all for yourself.”
