(SPARKILL, NY – July 1, 2021) – St. Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) held a celebratory ribbon cutting ceremony today in front of a fully renovated Naughton Hall, the new home of the College’s Admissions Welcome Center. The Center features a state-of-the-art conference room, new technology, meeting rooms, and outdoor campus spaces, with a dedicated entrance gate and ample parking for prospective students, families, and guests.
President Ken Daly stood at the helm of a pair of 25-inch long ceremonial scissors where he was joined by Vice President of Enrollment Management, Michael DiBartolomeo, Director of Admissions and Chief Diversity Officer, Samantha Bazile, and STAC employees. Symbolically, this commemorative occasion falls on the same day, one year ago, that Daly began his tenure as the new President of St. Thomas Aquinas College and launched a new journey of investment and growth for the College.
Daly remarked, “It is hard to believe that it has been one year to the day since I began my tenure as the new President of St. Thomas Aquinas College — and what a year it has been! Throughout the year, we not only navigated COVID challenges, but we also provided “access to an affordable education” for all students. We put several strategic pillars in place and made strategic investments — such as our new Admissions Office, which we officially opened today — to position the College for growth in the future.”
Naughton Hall previously housed faculty offices. The building has undergone an interior renovation amounting to approximately $400,000, which now includes new modern furniture, creating an airy, inviting space to welcome prospective students and their families. Upgrades include video conferencing technology to facilitate presentations, while other spaces will serve as offices for our admissions team and include an area to host/start tours and provide light refreshments for visitors. The building ideally sits at the head of the campus at the Borelli Hall entrance gate. Dedicated entrance gate and parking spaces will be available for guests, while the adjacent Marian Gardens will provide a beautiful, park-like outdoor space for families to enjoy while visiting the campus.
St. Thomas Aquinas College is an independent liberal arts college located on 72 acres in Rockland County, NY, which provides education at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The College’s approximately 2,000 full and part time students can choose from more than 100 different majors, minors, specializations, and dual degree programs across three Schools: Arts & Sciences, Business, and Education. The College is recognized by U.S. News & World Report in the Top-Tier for Regional Universities, by Colleges of Distinction in both its New York and Catholic editions, by Affordable Colleges Online as a top College in New York for Return on Investment, and is included as a Military Friendly School®. St. Thomas Aquinas College is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools; its School of Education is a candidate for accreditation by the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP); and its School of Business is accredited by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE).
