The event is a first-ever collaboration between the Village of Haverstraw, Montefiore Nyack Hospital Foundation, and the North Rockland Chamber of Commerce. Planning has been conducted for several months through a series of in-person and Zoom meetings, as well as walkthroughs by Chamber and Hospital Foundation members in the Village, where the event will be held.

Approximately 30 vehicles have been registered for the show with the North Rockland Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, a DJ and several show sponsors will be offering prizes and giveaways. Several Judges will preside over the event, and select the best cars of the day. The Stony Point-based firm RocklandWeb will be producing a video of the event, which will be posted to YouTube in mid October.

We’re happy to be able to host this car show, to showcase both the North Rockland Chamber, and Montefiore Hospital, and see some great cars! We think it’s a great way for residents to come out and participate in a family friendly event.
Mike Kohut – Mayor, Village of Haverstraw, NY
At the time of writing of this article, the chance of rain for Sunday is 40%, with the main variable being the speed and trajectory of Hurricane Ian, currently in the vicinity of South Carolina. The planning committee continues to monitor the trajectory, and will make decisions on the morning of the event as prudence would dictate.
Montefiore Nyack Foundation has been a leading non-profit in the County since 1985. As the fundraising arm of Montefiore Nyack Hospital, it is our mission to build strong community partnerships and hosting the car with the North Rockland Chamber does exactly that. We are so fortunate to have a presence in the North Rockland Community. This is only the beginning of more collaborative and meaningful work, together.
Tracie D. McLee – Executive Director , Montefiore Nyack Foundation, Nyack NY
In addition to this car show, Montefiore Nyack Foundation is also hosting “Rides and Strides” at NY Boulders Stadium, on Sunday, October 23rd. Proceeds will benefit The Breast Center at the Hospital.
We’re excited to be partnering with Montefiore Nyack Hospital Foundation — and to collaborate on our first North Rockland Car Show, as well as support our local businesses.
Stephanie Melowsky – President, North Rockland Chamber of Commerce
