RCC Hospitality and Culinary Arts Center Food Enthusiast Program: Oktoberfest Dinner with Steven Brunner on September 15th

(ROCKLAND COUNTY, New York) September 1, 2022 – The RCC Hospitality and Culinary Arts Center Food Enthusiast Program kicks off its fall season with an Oktoberfest hosted by Chef Steven Brunner on September 15. The popular program was recognized as “Best Cooking Class” in Hudson Valley Magazine’s 2022 Best of Hudson Valley competition; Chef’s Pencil, an international food magazine, ranked RCC’s Culinary Arts program sixth in their top 10 programs in New York.
All food, equipment and supplies—including snacks when participants arrive to class—are provided. Teams of two will make the recipes after the demonstrations and instructors will be on hand to offer assistance throughout the class. All attendees will eat or take home a portion of each recipe.
The cost is $70 per person and the class will be held at the Center, located at 70 Main Street in Nyack. The class will run from 6:30 – 9:00 pm and are available to all adult members of the community—beginners or experienced.
Chef Brunner is a retired New York City Firefighter and former Executive Chef at Flik International, The Rainforest Cafe and The Pleasantville Country Club. He has won the Iron Skillet Competition, The Daily News 5-Alarm Cook-off and has appeared as a Firefighter Chef on TV with Rachel Ray and Katie Couric. His Oktoberfest menu will feature:
- Homemade Zwiebel Spaetzle
- Tyrola Schnitzel (Pan Fried Pork Schnitzel Cordon Bleu Style)
- Creamed Spinach
- Apple Strudel in Filo with Cinnamon Sugar and Whipped Cream
