County Legislature to Review, Potentially “Tweak” County Exec’s 2022 Budget Proposal
The County Legislature’s Budget and Finance Committee is meeting tonight to potentially make some tweaks to the county executive’s 2022 budget proposal…
And that was Minority leader Legislator Lon Hofstein. The committee is expected to adopt the 2022 budget tonight at 6pm, with the full Legislature voting on them on Wednesday night.
North Carolina Man Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for Killing of West Haverstraw Man
A North Carolina man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for a fatal shooting in Nyack. 35-year-old Jason Jabouin had pleaded guilty to manslaughter earlier this year. He shot Ryan Franklin of West Haverstraw on Midland Avenue in May 2020, following a confrontation.
NY AG Drops Video Testimony of Former Governor, Accusers
Video testimony given to the independent investigators appointed by New York Attorney General Letitia James as part of the sexual harassment inquiry into the former governor was released by A-G’s office yesterday. In one of the videos, Andrew Cuomo admitted he occasionally complimented women he worked with on their appearance…
Also released yesterday, videos of the former governor’s accusers, top aide Rich Azzopardi, and transcripts from the former governor’s brother, CNN talk show host Chris Cuomo, who had given him advice on how to deal with the scandals. Attorney General Letitia James is now herself running for Governor.
