Tree Dedication in honor of Gerry O’Rourke
This week Supervisor Hoehmann, Council members Borelli and Graziano, Highway Supt. Milone, and Police Chief Wanamaker dedicated a tree in honor of longtime Congers Civic Association President Gerry O’Rourke, at Congers Lake Memorial Park. Gerry loved and served our community for many years and the tree is a beautiful tribute for his dedication to Congers.

Time Mission begins national expansion with new venue in Palisades Center
(ROCKLAND, NY) December 2, 2022 — Time Mission®, known for its immersive, interactive, new challenge game concept launched in Rhode Island in 2021, will begin its national expansion at Palisades Center on Sunday, December 11th with the opening of its latest multi-room team challenge adventure on Level Three, next to the food court.
The grand opening event will take place on Saturday, December 10th and feature a Charity Challenge where several area nonprofit organizations will compete for up to $4,000 in funds. The organizations that will participate include CANDLE, Wonder Girls, Meals on Wheels, People to People, United Way and several area Girl Scout troops. There are a few more openings for nonprofits. Time Mission sends teams of 2- 5 people through 32 different portals into spaces where they collect skill points by completing challenges in less than 2-5 minutes. Teams can be made up of individuals of different ages as some will excel at one skill, while others will be better at another, making it a perfect family or group activity. Participants may choose to only collect points or start a secret mission to unlock special bonus features and achievements. There are portals for different skills, i.e., intelligence, strength, coordination, and speed. Teams can repeat, or abandon, rooms at any time to improve their score or find the next clues on the mission before the hourglass runs out and they are returned to the present. Each portal transports you to the past or future in a fun, immersive experience.
“There’s so much creativity in this gaming experience,” said John Purisima, General Manager of Time Mission Palisades Center. “It’s not anything like what you expect just looking at it. It’s way more fun than I can describe in words, whether you’re competitive or not.”
Because Time Mission simulates time travel, teams are never locked into their choices, and going back into a portal doesn’t always result in the same outcome. The game evolves over time. Since Time Mission HQ can reprogram the portals, previously visited destinations may not be available when guests return to play the next time. They might only then be accessed in other Time Mission cities, replaced by new spaces to explore.
Time Mission at the Palisades Center will be open for corporate team building, family events, birthday parties, Bar Mitzvahs, and just friendly group fun. Recommended age is 6 years and up. Sessions generally run 90 minutes and teams are encouraged to reserve time online at www.timemission.com.
