Congratulations to Clarkstown’s newest Eagle Scout, Thomas Battestin of Troop 29. Supervisor George Hoehmann and Councilman Mike Graziano attended the Eagle Court of Honor at Street Community Center to present a certificate to Thomas. For his project, Thomas replaced several dilapidated wood benches around the pond, behind the Valley Cottage Ambulance Corp building with new metal and rubber coated benches on poured concrete. Great job Thomas on a wonderful and much needed project!

The corner of Westview and Old Haverstraw Road in Congers officially became Firefighter John Daniel Marshall Way as the Town dedicated the street in his memory. Twenty-one years after his death on September 11th as a member of the FDNY, his widow Lori and two children Paige and John returned to Clarkstown as we honored him with a street dedication. In Clarkstown we will never forget the fallen.
