Town of Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht attended the ribbon cutting at the Strides Pharma Science plant in Chestnut Ridge, joining Lt. Governor Brian Benjamin and other state and local officials in welcoming Strides to Rockland County and the Town of Ramapo. Strides has moved all of its manufacturing and marketing operations from out of state and overseas to the Ramapo site, which is located at the former Endo Pharmaceutical Plant. Strides will retain all of Endo’s 215 employees and will add an additional 40 jobs as it invests $42 million in expanding its facilities and operations in our town. Thank you to Governor Kathy Hochul, Lt. Governor Benjamin, and Strides Pharma for proving that New York, Rockland and Ramapo are open for business.
STAC to present Winter Wonderland Family Festival December 4th
St. Thomas Aquinas College will be presenting a Winter Wonderland Festival on Saturday, December 4th.

First annual Tappan Fire 5k Run/Walk November 14th
The Tappan Fire Department will host is 1st Annual Tappan Fire 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, November 14th at the German Masonic Grounds in Tappan. Proceeds will benefit the Volunteer Fire Association of Tappan and the family of fallen firefighter Jared Lloyd.

Veterans Day observance November 7th
The Raymond W. DeMeola VFW Memorial Post 1615 will be hosting a Veterans Day Observance on Sunday, November 7th at the Walkway of American Heroes in Orangeburg.

Public Service Announcements from CSX, regarding Erie Street RR Crossing
Beginning on Monday, November 1, 2021, CSX will be working on the Erie Street Railroad Crossing. This is expected to last anywhere from 3 to 5 days. Erie Street will be closed between the railroad tracks and Route 303. The road will not be open to local traffic or emergency vehicles.
