Winter Storm advisory in Clarkstown
Winter StormRockland is expected to get between five and ten inches of snow starting late Friday through Saturday afternoon. Additionally, this storm system brings with it heavy winds with gusts expected to up to 35 MPH. Highway Superintendent Bob Milone and the Highway Department have been preparing for several days with brine applied to the roads, plow trucks serviced, loaded with salt and equipment ready to go once the storm starts.A few reminders:
- Do not park on the roads overnight. It is illegal to park on any street in Clarkstown between 12:00AM and 6:00AM during the winter months and it interferes with snow removal, and you are subject to a ticket or towing.
- Please stay off the roads during the height of the storm to allow us to clear the streets effectively.
- In the event of power outages, we are prepared to open facilities as warming and charging locations if needed.
Avoid Germonds Park area
Due to overwhelming demand, we have distributed 6,000 test kits.
If you are not on line, please do not get on line.
Please avoid the area of Germonds Park to allow for traffic to ease in the area.

COVID Test Kits, Masks distributed in Clarkstown January 26th
The Town of Clarkstown will be distributing free COVID-19 test kits and KN95 masks in a drive-through event on Wednesday, January 26th from 3 to 6pm at Germonds Park.
CLARKSTOWN SENIOR CLUBS
Clarkstown residents age 60 and older, we have several senior clubs that you can join that offer a variety of fun activities!
You can only join one club. In order to join, you need to attend a meeting and obtain an application from the club president.
Afterwards, the application needs to be brought to the Recreation & Parks Administration Building (31 Zukor Road, New City) for final approval with proof of residency.
