New City is a hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Clarkstown, Rockland County, New York, United States, part of the New York Metropolitan Area. An affluent suburb of New York City, the hamlet is located 18 miles (29 km) north of the city at its closest point, Riverdale, Bronx. Within Rockland County, New City is located north of Bardonia, northeast of Nanuet, east of New Square and New Hempstead, south of Garnerville and Haverstraw village, and west, straight across Lake DeForest, of Congers. New City's population was 33,559 at the 2010 census,[1] making it the 14th most populous CDP/hamlet in the state of New York.[2]
New City is the county seat, and most populous community of Rockland County[3] and the location of the Clarkstown Police Department, Sheriff's office and corrections facility. The downtown area is one of the main business districts in the county. The ZIP code of New City is 10956.

Two more StayFit Training classes have been added!
April 12th and May 10th.
Both classes will take place at the Zukor Park Training Room (31 Zukor Road, New City) at 10:00 AM.
Clarkstown senior citizens age 60 and older are eligible.
FREE. Must pre-register by calling (845) 639-6200.
You do not need to take the class if you have already taken it.
Stay Fit Seniors Circuit Program is a 30 minute Wellness Program designed to work every major muscle group, your heart, lungs, and mind, all while having fun!
The program is based on three components, physical, mental, and social well-being for a Clarkstown Senior’s best health. This program is for seniors 60 and older.

Mini-camp will consist of arts & crafts, sports, gym games, quiet games, in-house movies, trips to places such as bowling, plus special events each day.
Clarkstown residents in Grades K-7 are eligible.

Fee: Register by 3/28 $350.00 on or after 3/29; $370.00 Daily Rate.
