New City is a hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Clarkstown, Rockland County, New York, United States, part of the New York Metropolitan Area. An affluent suburb of New York City, the hamlet is located 18 miles (29 km) north of the city at its closest point, Riverdale, Bronx. Within Rockland County, New City is located north of Bardonia, northeast of Nanuet, east of New Square and New Hempstead, south of Garnerville and Haverstraw village, and west, straight across Lake DeForest, of Congers. have not set up an account please do so at the above web address.

please come into the Recreation and Parks Office to prove your residency. If you own your home,
please bring in your Driver’s License.
If you are a renter, you MUST provide 3 forms of residency. A copy of Birth Certificate is required for anyone under the age of 18.

Thank you to the New City North Pole Airport for another great year!
Thank you to the generous Cirlin Family for another great year of the New City North Pole Airport holiday light display! The display closed for the season on Thursday, but have collected an immense amount of non-perishable food items for families in need to be donated to People to People – Feeding Rockland’s Hungry and monetary donations going to the Angel Flight NE, which provides free air transportation in private aircraft by volunteer pilots so that children and adults may access life saving medical care. Clarkstown dedicates Verona Court to Joseph Roberto
Recently, the Town held a ceremony dedicating Verona Ct. in New City to Joseph Roberto, who lost his life during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Joseph grew up in New City and is a 1982 graduate of Clarkstown North High School. On September 11, 2001 Joseph was working as a bank analyst and Vice President for Keefe, Bruyette & Woods in the World Trade Center. Joseph’s parents, who joined us on Sunday, still live on the same block. Also at the ceremony were his sister Lorraine, brother Robert, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Clarkstown will never forget.Thank you to Highway Supt. Bob Milone and the Highway Department for making and installing the street signs, the Clarkstown Police Department and Auxiliaries for coordinating the street closure, and Clarkstown DEFM for their assistance.
