New City is a hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Clarkstown, Rockland County, New York, United States, part of the New York Metropolitan Area. An affluent suburb of New York City, the hamlet is located 18 miles (29 km) north of the city at its closest point, Riverdale, Bronx. Within Rockland County, New City is located north of Bardonia, northeast of Nanuet, east of New Square and New Hempstead, south of Garnerville and Haverstraw village, and west, straight across Lake DeForest, of Congers. Chabad of Rockland to light Menorah December 2nd
Chabad of Rockland will be hosting a Menorah lighting on Thursday, December 2nd, at 7pm at the Allison-Parris County Office Building in New City.

Mike Russo Hospitalized – GoFundMe Nears $50,000 Goal
The fundraiser was organized on behalf of Jennifer Russo, by Michelle Garcia.

A family in New City is getting close to their online donation goal, in order to help a person affected by COVID-19.
Mike Russo was hospitalized on September 28, 2021, fighting COVID and double lung pneumonia. In addition, Mike’s pre-existing condition of asthma complicates his recovery. His wife Jennifer has needed to pause her career in order to take care of their son, Santino. Various family members have donated their time to help their business remain open, Russo’s House of Pizza in Pearl River NY.
The GoFundMe online fundraiser is currently nearing its goal of $50,000, to help pay for the medical and living expenses that the family is encountering during Mike’s recovery.

FEMA Mobile Disaster Recovery Center will be at the Town of Ramapo 237 Rt. 59 Suffern, New York. October 24th to October 26th from 9 am to 5 pm.
If you were affected by Hurricane IDA, you could file your claim here at the Town of Ramapo with the FEMA representatives. If you have already filed a claim, you are welcome to come and speak to the FEMA representatives.
