This week Supervisor Hoehmann was invited to be a guest judge for the Region 3 DECA competition held at Rockland Community College. High School students from the region participated and were given a business related scenario that they are to role play/present. Great job by Nanuet School District Business Education Teacher Lisa Svara who coordinated the event and all the teachers. Rockland County Clerk Donna Gorman Silverman was also a judge with the Supervisor. Great job by all involved–the winners will go to the state competition later in the semester in Rochester.

(ROCKLAND, NY) January 4, 2023 – In December Time Mission®, known for its immersive, interactive, challenge game concept, celebrated its grand opening with a fundraiser for local organizations. More than 50 representatives from Meals on Wheels, Girl Scouts, Wonder Girls, and Nanuet Interact Club (playing for Nanuet/West Nyack Rotary) participated in a fun Charity Challenge and were the first to experience the new Time Mission challenge rooms.
Meals on Wheels was the big winner of a $2,000 prize as well as a matching gift for funds they raised totaling $1,151, bringing their grand total for the event to $4,302. Nanuet Interact Club, which is comprised of students from Nanuet High School, received second place and a donation of $500 and Wonder Girls received third place and a donation of $500 but also managed to raise $3, 981 on their own.
Clarkstown Town Supervisor George Hoehmann was on hand to celebrate the grand opening and cut the ribbon with Time Mission founder Pieter Martens. “We are thrilled to welcome Time Mission to Clarkstown and glad they chose us for their second location. We know they will be an exciting addition to the entertainment options in the Palisades Center,” stated Hoehmann.
“We are happy we were able to support several important nonprofit organizations for the celebration of our grand opening. We are looking forward to becoming a part of the Rockland community and intend to host several similar events in 2023,” stated Martens, who opened the first Time Mission in Rhode Island in 2021.
Currently, Time Mission has 18 of its 32 challenge rooms open for play. Everyone who books a 60-minute time slot will receive a free 90-minute ticket which will be good until a total of 25 rooms are available. Time can be booked at www.timemission.com Time Mission, an indoor adventure game for kids and adults, opened its first location in Rhode Island in 2021. Every portal has its own challenge where intelligence, strength, coordination, or speed are tested. Time Mission sends teams of 2- 5 people through up to 32 different portals where they collect skill points by completing challenges in less than 2-5 minutes. Teams can be made up of individuals of different ages as some will excel at one skill, while others will be better at another, making it a perfect family or group activity. Participants may choose to only collect points or start a secret mission to unlock special bonus features and achievements. Teams can repeat, or abandon, rooms at any time to improve their score or find the next clues on the mission before time runs out. Each portal transports you to the past or future in a fun, immersive experience.
Time Mission at the Palisades Center will be open for corporate team building, family events, birthday parties, Bar Mitzvahs, and just friendly group fun. Recommended age is 6 years and up. Sessions can be booked for 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Time must be reserved online at www.timemission.com.
