The Nanuet Chamber of Commerce has been working with the Town of Clarkstown and is pleased to announce that work on a Nanuet Gateway Park will begin in the next few weeks at the intersection of S. Middletown Road and Old Middletown Road.
Completion is targeted for early June. The park will include a small fountain, benches, a flagpole, and a clock.
The cost of the clock (four-sided clock and chime on the hour) is being partially underwritten by fundraising efforts by the Nanuet HS Junior Chamber, the Greater Nanuet Chamber, and Nanuet and Beyond.
Tax-deductible donations to help in this endeavor and our town beautification may be made through Nanuet and Beyond, a community-oriented charity. Your support is greatly appreciated.

The Board of Trustees of the Village of Upper Nyack will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on the Tentative Budget on April 4, 2022 at 8 pm, at the Old Stone Meeting House, 347 North Broadway, Upper Nyack, New York 10960. This will be held as a hybrid meeting. Those wishing to attend may do so in person or online. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Tentative Budget of the Village of Upper Nyack for the fiscal year beginning June 1, 2022 has been completed and filed in the office of the Village Clerk of the Village of Upper Nyack, 328 North Broadway, Upper Nyack, New York 10960, where it is available for inspection by any interested person during Village office hours from 9:00am-12 noon or on the Village’s website at https://www.uppernyack-ny.us.
The following are the proposed annual salaries of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Upper Nyack:

On March 24th 1972, a school bus transporting Nyack High School students was hit by a freight train on Gilchrest Road in Congers. Five students were killed and many more were injured. This tragic accident made national news and resulted in changes across the United States regarding school bus safety and rail crossings. 50 years later, the Town of Clarkstown held a ceremony at Congers Lake Memorial Park to commemorate the 50th anniversary and dedicate a new plaque in honor of the victims.Clarkstown will never forget:

Register online through your CommunityPass Account at https://register.communitypass.net/Clarkstown. If you have not set up an account please do so at the above web address. Once your household is created, please come into the Recreation and Parks Office to prove your residency. If you own your home, please bring in your Driver’s License. If you are a renter, you MUST provide 3 forms of residency. Copy of Birth Certificate is required for anyone under the age of 18. Medical consent form is required when registering.
