Upper Nyack
Upper Nyack is a village incorporated in 1872 in the town of Clarkstown, Rockland County, New York, United States. It is located north of the village of Nyack, east of Valley Cottage, south of Rockland Lake State Park, and west of the Hudson River. The population was 2,063 at the 2010 census.[3]
Upper Nyack has a Village Hall and a village law court, located in the same building on North Broadway. Upper Nyack is also home to the Empire Hook and Ladder Company No. 1, established in 1863, one of eight fire companies in the Nyack Joint Fire District.

Save the Date! September 25, 2021
The Village of Upper Nyack is pleased to announce the “Countdown to 150” family event on Saturday September 25, 11 am – 1 pm, at River Hook Preserve.
Upper Nyack turns 150 in September of 2022 and we are starting this one-year countdown with a community gathering to celebrate the past and look to the future.
The event steps off from the River Hook Preserve entrance at 611 N. Midland at 11 am.
Free parking is available at Marydell Faith and Life Center on Larchdale Avenue.
- Mayor Karen Tarapata will lead a walk from the gate to the Haring House, past he newly opened sculpture path.
- Architect Jonathan Molloy will share a design vision for River Hook, offered by the Friends of River Hook.
- Village Historian Winston Perry will give a talk about Village history and the 1972 Centennial at 11:30 am by the Haring House.
- Enjoy Concklin Farms apples, cider or donuts.
- Musician Jeff Rubin will play from 12 – 1 pm by the Haring House.
