Nyack /ˈnaɪ.æk/ (
listen) is a village located primarily in the town of Orangetown in Rockland County, New York, United States. Incorporated in 1872, it retains a very small western section in Clarkstown. It is an outer suburb of New York City lying approximately 19 miles (31 km) north of the Manhattan boundary near the west bank of the Hudson River, situated north of South Nyack, east of Central Nyack, south of Upper Nyack, and southeast of Valley Cottage.
The Broadway Streetscape Project has begun in Nyack
The Broadway Streetscape Project has begun! A crosswalk and island is being constructed between 4th & 5th Avenues. Once completed, work will move to the corner of First Ave and N Broadway on the west side of the street for sidewalk reconstruction and ADA compliance. Work will continue into the Fall, as long as the weather allows. Construction will stay on the west side of Broadway until Burd Street, then loop back on the east side of Broadway. Nyack schedule updates for Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day
Village Hall and DPW will be closed on Monday, October 11, 2021 for Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples Day.
Trash collection is rescheduled for Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
Parking Fees are suspended for the holiday.
Alternate side rules are still in effect.
