WEST NYACK, NY — Summer fun begins with Serendipity Saturday on June 14, 2025, at Germonds Park. Starting at noon, Clarkstown residents are invited to enjoy a day of swimming, picnicking, and entertainment as Germonds Pool officially opens for the season.
This free event has no rain date and is open to all Clarkstown residents.
NEW CITY, NY — Clarkstown’s Parks & Recreation Department will host a Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) training session on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Street Community Center.
Aimed at residents ages 11 to 15, the $30 course teaches the fundamentals of babysitting, including supervision, basic care, and emergency response. It’s designed to give young babysitters the skills and confidence needed to provide safe and responsible care.
NANUET, NY — Clarkstown seniors aged 60 and older are invited to an Olympic-themed evening of music and dancing at the Senior Social & Dance on Friday, June 6, 2025. Hosted by the Nanuet II Senior Club, the event will run from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Pascack Community Center.
Entertainment will be provided by local favorite Moshe Katzburg. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own refreshments, though alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
WEST NYACK, NY — The Town of Clarkstown invites residents to celebrate the summer season with its annual Fireworks Extravaganza on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Felix Festa Middle School. Originally scheduled for a later date, the event was moved to accommodate Clarkstown South High School’s graduation.
The evening promises family-friendly entertainment starting at 6:30 p.m., including a live concert, various food vendors, and activities for children such as juggling performances. The night will conclude with a dazzling fireworks display that Superintendent of Parks & Recreation Matt Veronesi described as “magical.”
