Tappan
Tappan (/təˈpæn/ tə-PAN) is a hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Orangetown, Rockland County, New York. It is located northwest of Alpine, New Jersey, north of Northvale, New Jersey and Rockleigh, New Jersey, northeast of Old Tappan, New Jersey, east/southeast of Nauraushaun and Pearl River, south of Orangeburg, southwest of Sparkill, and west of Palisades; Tappan shares a border with each. The population was 6,613 at the 2010 census.
Santa 5K to be held December 12th
The Town of Orangetown Recreation Department will host its 30th Annual Santa Claus 5K Run on Sunday, December 12th at Veteran’s Memorial Park.

Free Veterans Dinner Bags will be available at Orangetown Hall on Saturday, November 20th from 9:30 to 11:30 am.
First annual Tappan Fire 5k Run/Walk November 14th
The Tappan Fire Department will host is 1st Annual Tappan Fire 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, November 14th at the German Masonic Grounds in Tappan. Proceeds will benefit the Volunteer Fire Association of Tappan and the family of fallen firefighter Jared Lloyd.
